Project Description
The motivation behind this project was the trend of making entertainment systems as realistic as possible. Current technology requires us to go to a 4-D theater that are only available in a few places like theme parks. We plan to make these effects available on a vest that can be easily implemented to our home entertainment systems. We will accomplish this using a vest that contains various components such as vibration motors and air compressors that can emulate physical effects. The components are controlled by a microcontroller that receives instructions from a computer application, that will be synced with a specified video file. These instructions are encoded into the video file.
